On the 30th May, Geoff French, the President for the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering, stopped by i54 as part of his visit to the West Midlands.
Staffordshire County Council engineers delivered a presenation to the president, an opportunity to hear about the history of i54, the unique joint venture and the engineering involved with this high profile project.
The president was also taken on a tour of the i54 site followed by the opportunity to meet trainee and graduate engineers from Staffordshire County Council and Balfour Beatty. The purpose of the visit was to showcase developments in the region – the president also visited other sites in the Black Country.
