Pendeford Hall Nature Reserve received the money through a planning agreement to help continue and develop its education, health and wellbeing, and personal and social skills development outdoor activities for local communities.
The work included installing a timber pond dipping platform, de-silting ponds on the site, controlling plant growth and installing recording equipment to monitor wildlife.
Dave Millington, parks, landscape and countryside manager at City of Wolverhampton Council and project lead, said:
“The improvement works were completed in the spring. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 restrictions we have not been able to take community group or school visits, but we look forward to welcoming them to our improved nature reserve in the near future.”
